This course provides an introductory overview of the technologies that underpin 2G and 3G mobile networks. Participants will explore the key concepts and principles of both generations, including the architecture, protocols, and services offered by these networks. The course
covers fundamental 2G technologies such as GSM and GPRS, as well as 3G technologies such as UMTS and HSPA. Participants will gain knowledge about the services and capabilities of both generations, including telephony, data services, and SMS. The course also delves into the circuit- switched and packet-switched cores of these networks, as well as the specifics of connecting to the network, making calls, and transferring data.
